A sweet dessert of Cape Dutch origin (the wester cape of South Africa), known as Malva Pudding, is a spongy tectured pudding; with the primary element of apricot jam. Served at many South African restaurants, this pudding is served with a a sauce that is poured over whilst still being hot. It is commonly served with custard or ice-cream.
